World Banknotes

Biafra 1 pound, 1968-1969, P#5a, UNC, $1.25

This is a short-lived political entity, which claimed independence from Nigeria.  The republic lasted for less than three years, but had enough time to make their own money.  A nice looking uncirculated note from an obsolete nation.

Here is one of the first issues from the Ukraine, a 50 karbovantsiv from 1918.  Actually, this note is divided into 2 issues, one with the serial number up to 209, and an unofficial issue with the serial number 210 and onward.  The notes are XF to AU condition.
